Farm to Turntable 2016

The concept of Farm-to-table is about keeping it local.  The closer your food sources are, the fresher your food will be, all while supporting local business.  This keeps the local economy in good shape!   Our twist on that concept is “Farm to Turntable”.  The Filipino culture is known for family gatherings by the hundreds, with lots of food, a DJ (and most likely some dancing).  So we’ve taken the party out of the garage and into Fluxx Nightclub in San Diego.  Chefs of San Diego created Filipino inspired dishes using ingredients sourced from local businesses such as Homegrown Meats, Pitman Family Farms/Mary’s Organic Chicken and Alpine Meat Co.  Couple local food with instrumentalist & turntablist from the Mellow Orange label, and you have a night of Food & Hip Hop.  Thanks to everyone involved that made this first time event a huge success!
